England captain Wayne Rooney will miss Friday's UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier at home to Estonia, due to an ankle injury, the Football Association has confirmed.

Striker, who last month became the all-time leading scorer for England, has missed three days of training at Manchester United in the Premier League after Arsenal last Sunday 3-0 defeat hurt yourself. In his absence, the Chelsea defender Gary - Cahill will captain Hodgson's team, who have already qualified for next year's tournament in France after all eight of their Group E game date wins.
